A HUMBLE BEGINING

Anis Permin’s upbringing in a humble family sparked her desire for entrepreneurship to improve her family’s quality of life and positively impact the world.

Anis Permin grew up in a humble family with little wealth. Since she was young, Anis had often dreamed of a life where she could provide better for her loved ones via entrepreneurship. She was envious of the wealthy and aspired to become like them one day.

In her teenage years, Anis diligently assisted her father at his printing and advertising company, Adin Trading, to make ends meet. These early experiences instilled in her a sense of resilience and a strong work ethic that would later serve her well as an entrepreneur.

In 2007, she took the first step towards realizing her dream by taking over her father’s printing and advertising company, Adin Trading.

With her determination and hard work, Anis expanded and transformed the business into Adin Media Group Sdn. Bhd.

THE STORY DID NOT STOP THERE

 

  • PANDEMIC

    In 2020, the world was hit by the Covid-19 pandemic, and lockdowns took over. Malaysians were grounded at home, suffering in captivity. Anis wanted to bring some light into their lives and started thinking about the best way to achieve it.

  • ONE DAY

    Anis began to crave a Malaysian drink that she grew up with, Teh Tarik. She started reminiscing about the good old days when she would enjoy a glass of rich, pleasant Teh Tarik with her parents at the Mamak stall.

  • CONTEMPLATION

    She contemplated that Teh Tarik, Kopi and Sirap Bandung are beloved and iconic beverages in Malaysian culture. They are cultural treasures celebrated and cherished by Malaysians, and its significance in the Malaysian beverage culture cannot be overstated.

  • EPIPHANY

    Anis had an epiphany - to bring Malaysian drinks to people's doorsteps during lockdowns and beyond - not only during the pandemic but also post-pandemic.

  • VISION

    She envisioned Malaysian drinks delighting not only the locals but also foreigners, proudly showcasing Malaysia's unique drinks that reflect our creativity, authenticity, and harmony, ultimately delighting everyone who tries these splendid drinks.

  • KNOWING PAIN POINTS

    Anis knew Malaysian consumers often face the pain points of finding traditional Malaysian beverages that are both convenient and authentic. Anis was determined to solve these pain points.

  • BRAINSTORMING, PLANNING, EXECUTION

    from there, she began brainstorming and developing RTD Malaysian drinks as well as assembled the right team to pull things off.

    Today, Haos Ek? is a leading RTD Malaysian beverage brands loved by local and global consumers in Malaysia.
